We are currently accepting applications for Crane Operator for our site in Abbotsford, BC. The ideal candidate is a hard worker who is capable or working with minimal oversight, safely and efficiently. *Responsibilities* * Perform pre-operational inspection, and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting; * Operate self erect crane to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials; * Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes; * Understand how to allocate and attach pulleys, cables, braces, booms, chains and hooks to lifting machinery; * This job has a requirement to use physical exertion that includes lifting, carrying, working with heights and moving materials; * Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Site clean up, labour, driving telehandler for deliveries, basic carpentry are some examples. * Performing a range of construction related tasks as assigned; * Operating machinery on site; * Assisting in labour activities, providing guidance to general labourers on site and ensuring quality control; * Assisting with materials management and distribution; * Assisting subtrades when needed and as required. *Qualifications* * The following tickets are an asset: * SETC A ticket * SETC B ticket * TC-A ticket * TC-B ticket * 5-7 years of experience as ticketed crane operator Level A self-erect or B * Rigging ticket is an asset; * Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation; * Must be able to work in team effort environment and display professionalism at all times; * Self-motivated and able to work without supervision; * You must be able to use physical exertion that includes lifting, carrying, climbing ladders and moving materials; * Previous experience working with multi-family framing and concrete is an asset; * Valid First Aid certification is an asset, level 2 preferred; * Must be able to get to and from site; * A current tele-handler (zoom boom) ticket and fall protection certification are assets; * Takes safety seriously and is mindful of surroundings; * A positive attitude and ability to work well with others in a team environment; * Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required. *WHY JOIN US?* * We offer competitive wages and salary for the right candidate * Health and Dental benefits * Vision Care * Profit Sharing Program Salary range is $37.00 to $47.00 per hour based on previous experience*.* We are committed to the principles of employment equity and encourage applications from all qualified applicants.
