*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.
*Responsibilities*
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and cooking equipment.
* Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
* Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
* Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning duties at the end of each shift.
*Requirements*
* Previous experience in food preparation or cooking in a restaurant setting is preferred.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling techniques is essential.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* A passion for the food industry and a desire to grow within the culinary field.
