*This position requires working all shifts including weekends, and holidays* * Uphold the highest level of cleanliness in guest rooms * Perform daily room inspections, and perform housekeeping duties as required. * Maintain a professional and supervisory demeanor at all times, setting an example of leadership for all staff * Completion of daily administrative requirements, eg. scheduling, lost and found, key control and housekeeping reports * Train and supervise all housekeeping staff, with complete follow up work on performance issues, proper care of equipment and cleaning as well as productivity assignments * Preparation of daily work assignments for all departmental employees, prior to their starting times, according to occupancy demands and functions booked in the hotel, keeping within the existing budget. * Ensure that all staff report to work on time and in proper uniform, follow hotel grooming, and dress standards. * Follows required documentation and corrective measures regarding employee discipline and Health and Safety issues, including WSIB and internal accident reports. *Competencies We Are Seeking:* * Previous Housekeeping Supervisor experience is required. * Excellent command of the English language, secondary language a benefit. * Must enjoy teamwork and a multi-tasking environment. * Should work very well under set timelines without compromising work results. * Must be able to work flexible hours throughout the entire week (weekends and holidays are a must). * Should be computer literate with good working knowledge of all computer systems including Google and Microsoft Office applications. * Must be able to stand for long periods of time Holiday Inn Express & Suite Bowmanville is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusive, barrier-free recruitment and selection processes.
