*Job description* The Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa is seeking an energetic, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Banquet Server. The successful candidate will be an ambassador for the exceptional guest service and flavors that are hallmarks of our banquets experience. Your warm, attentive guest service and passion for customer service is worth raising a glass to! *Please note that we do require candidates to be available primarily evenings, weekends and holidays for both early morning and evening shifts*. *DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:* * Serves all food and beverage items in a timely and friendly manner * Communicates with guests to ensure satisfaction with both the food and service. * Clears the tables and room at the end of the function, including all side trays and side stands as per the set standards. * Consistently offers friendly, professional and exceptional guest service. *JOB REQUIREMENTS:* * Graduate of a post-secondary hospitality program is considered an asset * Must be Smart Serve Certified for Ontario * 1 to 2 years of previous food & beverage service experience is required * Must possess a passion for customer service and the ability to exceed customer expectations. * Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meeting strict deadlines. * Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment. * Ability to work cohesively as a part of a team. * Appearance must be neat, clean and well groomed as per Hilton standards. * Must have a good command of the English language. * Physical demands: constant standing and walking, frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting. * Candidates must be physically capable of performing repetitive work. Experience: * Banquet: 1 year (Preferred) Licence: * Smart Serve (Preferred) Job Types: Part Time Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Evening shift * Holidays * Monday to Friday * Morning shift * Night shift * Weekend availability Experience: * serving: 1 year (required) This job posting is for an active existing vacancy in the Banquets Department.
