Teaching Certificate; <p>? university<p>training, or its equivalent, relevant to the posted position; and, <p>? successful<p>teaching experience relevant to the posted position. <p> <p>Posting Details: <p> T- 4719 Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf & Hard of Hearing <p> 0.8 F.T.E. Term, Effective Immediately to June 27, 2025 or return of incumbent <p> DISTRICT <p> <p>The teacher will work as part of the Learning Services Department in providing Deaf & Hard of Hearing Services for students in the District. The successful candidate<p>must: <p> <p><p> possess at minimum, a BC Teaching Certificate plus certification or eligibility for certification by the Association of Canadian Educators of the Hearing Impaired (ACEHI);<p> be prepared to provide leadership with an ability to carry out a variety of assessments and an ability to contribute to the development of an Individual Education Plan for students designated with hearing difference;<p> participate as a member of transdisciplinary team and consult with school-based, District and community partners to assist with the inclusion of learners with identified hearing differences;<p> interpret the learner?s hearing differences and implications of these hearing differences; <p> monitor learner use of hearing aids, FM systems and other technology that assists student learning and communication<p> provide the classroom teacher with information regarding the role of Education Assistants in the implementation of strategies for students who are Deaf / Hard of hearing<p> provide or arrange professional development/in service surrounding hearing and hearing differences for learners, teachers and paraprofessionals<p> provide consultation for parents of learners with hearing differences<p> model and provide information regarding inclusive practices<p> help develop self-advocacy for students with identified hearing differences and,<p> possess a reliable vehicle and a valid BC Driver?s License.<p><p> <p> <p>PLEASE<p>NOTE: WHEN APPLYING FOR THIS POSITION, TRANSCRIPTS FOR ALL RELATED COURSEWORK<p>WILL BE REQUIRED.<p> <p> <p>Salary range : $60,015 per year to $109,520 per year, based on category as<p>assigned by the Teachers?
