Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and food safety guidelines - Ensure that all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area - Assist in the planning and development of menus - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations - Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation - Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or needs to the supervisor - Adhere to all safety and health regulations in the kitchen Requirements: - Previous experience working as a cook in a restaurant or food service industry is preferred - Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods - Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately - Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively with colleagues - Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Please note that this job description provides a general overview of the responsibilities and requirements for the position of Cook.
