The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.As a candidate, you are encouraged to ask compensation related questions and have an open dialogue with your recruiter who can provide you more specific details for this role.Job Description:KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESCUSTOMEREnsure team is adequately resourced and capable in managing the day to day and longer-term business needs for the functionSupport functional leaders as well as business management with sound actuarial advice and knowledge to help inform business decisionsOversee the communication, interpretation, application and implementation of actuarial analysis and results to business leadersReview actuarial analyses produced by the teamDevelops new procedures to deal with unforeseen changes and challengesEnsure work is in line with business methodology, principles and practicesEnsure the availability and quality of data used for all actuarial analysis, based on a thorough knowledge of the data information systemsSHAREHOLDERBegin to challenge business appropriately ensuring best interest of the organization is consideredLead relationships with corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirementsSupport team in staying knowledgeable on emerging issues, trends and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts to the Bank Assess / identify key issues and escalate to appropriate levels and relevant stakeholders and business management where requiredEnsure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)Protect the interests of the organization ? identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high risk transactions / activities as necessaryKeep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impactsMaintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetiteEMPLOYEE / TEAMResponsible for management of the overall team providing leadership, and guidance for own area of specializationGrow team expertise to align with business/enterprise demand and direction; assess team skills and capabilities and continually look for ways to provide and enhance the value deliveredLead a high performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all employeesManage employees in compliance with all human resources policies, procedures and guidelines of conductShare knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team and ensure the timely communication of issues and encourage good working relationships with other functions and teamsSupport an environment where team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of milestones and successesBuild for the future by recruiting all hires to ensure a highly diverse, skilled and qualified professionals to achieve business obje
