You'll join a team of passionate and driven innovators, who are breaking barriers and expanding the reach of Canada's most-loved entertainment.At Bell Media, you'll redefine digital connections and pioneer next-generation services, propelling us to reach new heights, unlock untapped potential and expand horizons for our customers.Job DescriptionJob Title: Engineering Technician, Bell Media, Unifor Local 2000Company: Bell Media INC.Job Status: Regular?Full-timeLocation: Bell Media, Terrace, B.C.Responsibilities:With the support of the General Manager and the Chief Engineer, you will:Provide support to radio and TV stations in terms of equipment maintenance and installation of radio/TV station facilitiesAssist with facility upgrades that meet building and equipment requirementsTest and repair analog and digital circuits, radio/TV transmitters and receiversRepair, maintain and troubleshoot satellite equipmentTroubleshoot and repair systems for radio/TV transmission or reception, and may be required to work in restricted or close quartersDemonstrate flexibility with the schedule to respond to emergency repair needsBe required to travel within the region to assist with tower maintenance and/or station maintenance requirementsCritical Qualifications / Skills RequirementsPost-secondary school diploma in broadcast electronics from a recognized technical institute1 to 3 years' experience preferred in a similar or related positionKnowledge of development and modification of systems in the broadcast industryExperience with Microsoft operating systemsAbility to work with minimal supervision and/or frequently unsupervisedMature, calm and have a professional mannerTake initiative, willing to learn, and able to take instruction wellA valid driver's licence (abstract required#EmployeeReferralProgramAdequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
