We are looking for an experienced, dedicated, safety-focused *Forklift Operator* to support our growing business. Reporting directly to our Warehouse Manager while supporting the Warehouse Logistics team, ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our plant cold storage facility. *- Job Essentials* * Required to operate various types of lift trucks, including standing up reach trucks throughout warehouse facility. * Expert skill, drives in a defensive manner under the Company?s safety regulations guidelines, preventing injury and product/equipment damage. * Responsible to ensure forklift battery rotation is followed. * Communicates changes, issues, etc., to other operators and supervision. * Must maintain accurate drive operation documentation and check sheets. * Ensures targets are met by following standard work, understanding and supporting departmental KPI?s. * Respects and upholds ?Good Manufacturing Practices?, (GMPs). * Completes vehicle operator?s checklist for lift trucks to ensure lift truck is safe to operate at all times. * Rotates stock to FIFO standard. * Stacks crates, pallets, or other materials. * Loads and unloads product from and onto tractor trailers. * Diligently monitors and checks loads are centered and properly stacked. * Closely monitors then reports repairs needed to for equipment. * Quality assurance (QA) duties, including product damage and shortages. * Utilizes radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory. * Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport. * Weighs and records weights of product. * Must be flexible to work varying shifts and weekends during Company?s peak business requirements. *Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements* · Grade 12 or equivalent education*.* · Previous cold stores warehouse experience. · OSHA approved forklift certification for both counter balance and reach trucks. · Strong knowledge of lift trucks and safe driving procedures · Ability to lift approximately 20 kgs. · Good written, oral and math skills. · Previous OSHA training. *What you can expect from us.* * The opportunity to join our talented, dynamic, diverse and inclusive Warehouse team. * You will have the opportunity to use your current experience, knowledge and skill to continue growing with us. * Our supportive team will offer encouragement during your professional growth and development. * You will have opportunities that are meaningful and impactful within the scope of your work assignments.
