SpaceBridge Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our Montreal team. This role is integral to our financial operations, where you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic leadership to drive the company?s financial health and growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management within manufacturing and global sales environments.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Lead and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and account reconciliation.
* Prepare, review, and present accurate financial statements and reports (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to senior management on a monthly basis. Ensure compliance with GAAP, including IFRS and ASPE.
* Develop, implement, and monitor annual budgets, cash flow projections, and financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making and ensure organizational financial health.
* Conduct detailed financial analysis, including cost and gross margin reports, to provide actionable insights and recommendations for business performance improvements.
* Prepare consolidated financial reports for SpaceBridge Inc. and its subsidiaries, along with standalone quarterly reports, to support informed decision-making at the executive level.
* Oversee treasury functions, manage working capital, and implement strategies to mitigate foreign exchange risks, including hedging practices.
* Coordinate and oversee annual financial statement and tax audits, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely and cost-effective audit processes.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and manage international financial transactions, including letters of credit and bonds, to minimize financial risks.
* Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and contribute to the development of business strategies.
*Skills & Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance; CPA designation is mandatory.
* Minimum 3-5 years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally within manufacturing and high-tech industries, with exposure to global sales operations
* Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, including IFRS and ASPE standards.
* Strong background in auditing and regulatory compliance.
* Expertise in managing international financial transactions and treasury functions.
* Experience working with financial institutions, investors, and in the high-tech industry is highly preferred.
* Advanced proficiency in financial software and Excel, with strong data analysis capabilities.
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
