Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Construction site. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials. Clean and lubricate cranes. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Instruct apprentices. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Pave and rake asphalt. Assist in demolishing buildings. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Perform routine maintenance work. Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Experience: Experience an asset.
