Windigo Education is seeking a passionate and qualified educator to teach Junior/Senior Kindergarten at Michikan Lake School in Bearskin Lake First Nation for the 2024/2025 school year.<p><p>About Us<p><p>Windigo Education Board serves over 400 students across four First Nations communities. Our schools provide quality education rooted in land-based teachings, activities, and values that support student growth through collaboration between school, family, and community.<p><p>About Bearskin Lake First Nation<p>Bearskin Lake is a vibrant Oji-Cree community located in northwestern Ontario. Our school provides a culturally rich learning environment that celebrates Indigenous traditions and values.<p><p><p>Qualifications<p><p> Bachelor of Education degree<p> Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or eligible for membership<p> Experience working with Indigenous students preferred<p> Strong commitment to early childhood education and culturally responsive teaching<p><p>Responsibilities<p><p> Develop and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with Ontario's Kindergarten Program<p> Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment<p> Collaborate with teaching partners, families, and community members<p> Assess and document student learning and development<p> Participate in school and community events<p><p><p>Benefits<p><p> Relocation assistance and airfare to/from community<p> Travel benefit for Christmas holiday<p> One AQ course paid for annually<p> Comprehensive benefits package including pension, insurance, and medical coverage<p><p><p><p>Please ensure your application is updated with the following:<p><p>1.
