* Coastal KinesitherapyInc. has a part-time opening for an experienced Registered Kinesiologist, to work in a multidisciplinary setting located in West Point Grey, Vancouver. We offer a flexible work arrangement, professional autonomy, and excellent remuneration. This position will be to provide Kinesiology services with an interdisciplinary team for the rehabilitation of patients. It is very important the applicant has both a minimum of 2 years Rehab experience as well as Personal Training experience. * Responsibilities include: biomechanical and functional assessments; designing, implementing and supervising graded exercise programs; setting functional goals with client input; recording functional and subjective progress/changes in client charts each session; providing relevant education as needed to clients. * Skills needed: ability to recognize risk factors, contraindications & precautions related to patient exercise and rehabilitation programs; clear communication with other health care professionals regarding patient responses/changes. * Applicants MUST have a minimum of two years experience working with musculoskeletal injuries, and athletic training, be a member of BCAK or certified with CSEP, and hold personal mal practice insurance. Please do not apply if you are not insured or certified. * Experience with insurance companies such as ICBC and WCB is an asset. Valid CPR & First Aid certificates REQUIRED.Applicants must have excellent communication skills, maintain a professional standard at all times, be detail oriented, be on time for their shifts, and have a positive, friendly attitude. * Applicants must be willing to work independently as well as part of a team. * The successful candidate will join a team of Registered Physiotherapists, a Kinesiologist, Registered Massage Therapists, and Licensed Pilates Instructors. We are located within a private physiotherapy clinic and exclusive training gym, and provide a friendly, supportive atmosphere, with an emphasis on a client focused approach.
