*About us* Bakerview Electric Inc. is a small business in Victoria, BC. We specialize in residential renovations and new construction. Our goal is to complete jobs efficiently and professionally. Our work environment includes: * On-the-job training * Safe work environment * Regular social events We are looking for a first year apprentice electrician to work under the direction of a journeyman electrician to meet job site deadlines. The right candidate will have completed their first year of schooling and will bring basic knowledge of the trade. Requirements of the job: * able to take direction * be self-motivated * have own transportation and basic hand tools * able to take reliable job site notes * comfortable on ladders and in tight spaces (attics, crawl spaces) * able to lift 50+ pounds Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship Pay: $25.00-$26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay * Retention bonus Benefits: * Casual dress * Flexible schedule * On-site parking Flexible language requirement: * French not required Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * electrical: 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Driver's License (class 5 or 7) (preferred) Work Location: On the road Expected start date: 2025-01-06- LocationVictoria, BC
