*Qualifications:* * Valid Early Childhood Education Certificate *(Required)* * Valid License to practice in Early Childhood Education *(Required)* * Valid First Aid certificate *(Required)* * Criminal Record Check * Excellent communication, and organization skills * Strong knowledge of leadership, administration, and management in childcare with non-profit organizations * Supervisory experience * Experience working in a preschool or daycare setting * An open-minded personality that works well in a team setting * Three written references *Asset: * * Understanding of Excel (or similar spreadsheets) for record-keeping and facilitating payroll with the bookkeeper. * Knowledge of the Quickbooks platform. *Job Summary:* The Director of Childcare Services will work with the Board of Directors and the teaching team to ensure a program that supports the goals and fulfills the philosophy of Centennial Day Care Society. The intent is to create a warm and supportive learning space that will inspire children?s natural curiosity, encourage exploration, make learning fun, and support well-being. *Remuneration:* * $30.75/hr + benefits * $6.00/hr ECE Wage Enhancement (Candidate must have valid Early Childhood Education Certificate) *Key Skills and Responsibilities:* Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Director of Childcare Services is responsible for the overall operation of the daycare. This includes ensuring the continued successful operation of a high-quality play-based daycare program that follows BC?s Early Learning Framework in an established professional environment. The Director of Childcare Services will have strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills and will support the ECE team to promote a positive and professional early childhood educational environment. In addition, the successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the field as well as a clear understanding of all licensing requirements and provincial funding programs. The Director of Childcare Services will demonstrate the ability to work effectively with families, staff, board members, and community members. The Director of Childcare Services will have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong ECE skills in relation to supervision, classroom management, and programming areas are considered essential. Please apply with a Cover Letter and Resume.
