Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Assign health care workers to specific projects and programs
  • Coordinate the delivery of health care services within the department
  • Direct and control daily operations
  • Evaluate daily operations
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures
  • Plan and organize daily operations
  • Review budgets and spending to ensure departments operate within funding limits
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for delivery of health care services
  • Hire, train, direct and motivate staff
  • Develop evaluation systems to monitor health care services
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Oversee the preparation of reports
  • Co-ordinate work of doctors, nurses and other staff
  • Staff recruitment and selection
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Apply quality control procedure
  • Ensure infection control
  • Establish and co-ordinate administrative policies and procedures
  • Ensure that procedures are conducted in accordance with laws and regulations
  • Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
  • Prepare reports
  • Establish registry of special needs support workers
  • Conduct quality control
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed
  • Recruit staff
  • Ensure that quality nursing care is provided to patients
