Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Nursing practice. Registered nursing, nursing administration, nursing research and clinical nursing, other. Tasks: Assign health care workers to specific projects and programs. Coordinate the delivery of health care services within the department. Direct and control daily operations . Evaluate daily operations . Plan and control budget and expenditures. Plan and organize daily operations. Review budgets and spending to ensure departments operate within funding limits. Establish and implement policies and procedures for delivery of health care services. Hire, train, direct and motivate staff. Develop evaluation systems to monitor health care services. Oversee the analysis of data and information. Oversee the preparation of reports. Co-ordinate work of doctors, nurses and other staff. Staff recruitment and selection. Prepare budget and cost estimates. Apply quality control procedure. Ensure infection control. Establish and co-ordinate administrative policies and procedures. Ensure that procedures are conducted in accordance with laws and regulations. Ensure that safety standards and departmental policies are met. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Prepare reports. Establish registry of special needs support workers. Conduct quality control. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Ensure safety procedures are followed. Recruit staff.
