<p>Hello, I'm Julie Baptista, Team Leader at FED Engineering, specializing in temporary and permanent recruitment for engineering, technical, and manufacturing roles. <br>We are experts in the field and speak your language. <br>We are committed to supporting you throughout your job search and every step of your career.</p><p><br>I am currently recruiting for one of my clients, a chemical industry company located in Laval, for a Plant Engineer - Permanent position, 40 hours/week - Day shift.</p><p>Your Role <br><br> <br>Reporting to the Operations Director, your responsibilities include: <br> <br>Participating in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of production equipment. <br>Diagnosing and resolving technical issues in mechanical or electrical systems. <br>Designing and implementing continuous improvement plans for manufacturing processes. <br>Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards in the chemical industry. <br>Supervising technical projects related to equipment modernization. <br>Training staff on new procedures or equipment. <br>Monitoring equipment performance and proposing innovative solutions. <br>Other related tasks as required by the position.</p><p>Your Skills <br> <br>Technical expertise in your field. <br>Detail-oriented, autonomous, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. <br>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. <br>Team spirit and leadership capabilities. <br> <br>Your Profile <br> <br>Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor's strongly preferred). <br>Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemical industry. <br>Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent). <br>Fluent in French; functional English is an asset. <br> <br>The use of English is required for this position for the following reasons: <br>Communication with international customers <br>Working with English-speaking partners <br>Drafting documents in English <br> <br>Salary and Benefits <br> <br>Salary range: $100,000 to $110,000 annual gross, depending on experience. <br>Benefits: Employer-contributed pension plan (REER), comprehensive collective insurance. <br>Permanent, full-time position (40 hours/week), day shift.</p>
