Railtown Café & Catering is looking for an experienced *Baker *to join the team! You will work alongside talented chefs and staff to foster a fun and friendly environment for our customers. This position is responsible for the preparation and baking of breads for the cafes and catering department while ensuring the highest level of product quality and sanitation is achieved. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company to display your passion and creativity. It is a Monday to Friday morning position 4am - 12:30pm with occasional flexibility when required. *Responsibilities:* * Bake a variety of pastries and bread for the cafes * Prepare a variety of breads : sandwich loaf, artisan bread, buns, Asian buns, and seasonal bread * Monitor and maintain cleanliness of all pastry / bakery kitchen equipment and kitchen space * Other duties as assigned *Qualifications and Experience:* * A minimum 2 years of baking experience * Detail oriented, ability to perform tasks in a timely manner * Work well alone and with teammates * Self-motivated with strong time-management skills Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Overtime pay * Tips Benefits: * Extended health care Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Morning shift * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Vancouver, BC V6A 1A4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Experience: * Baking: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person- LocationVancouver, BC
