Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental team to provide high-quality dental care to our patients. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. The Ideal Candidate would work between our Oakville and Milton location. SURGICAL EXPERIENCE AN ASSET. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns - Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems (Tracker) Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program - Current certification in dental assisting - Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures - Familiarity with medical terminology and dental terminology - Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic, Dentrix) - Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively We offer competitive pay, benefits package, and opportunities for career advancement.
