*Job Summary* The Daytime Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our establishment during daytime hours. This position involves overseeing daily activities, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for the hospitality industry, ensuring that both guests and employees have a positive experience. *Duties* * Supervise front-of-house operations to ensure efficient service delivery. * Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques. * Oversee food and drink preparation and presentation standards to maintain quality and consistency. * Ensure compliance with liquor laws * Manage inventory levels, placing orders for supplies while minimizing waste. * Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. * Collaborate with other managers to implement operational improvements and promotions. * Oversee organization of the restaurant and preparing it for evening service * Oversee organization of catering functions *Qualifications* * Proven serving experience in a restaurant with a solid understanding of all positions within the team * Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing teams effectively. * Knowledge of drink preparation techniques and bar operations is essential. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and customers effectively. * Ability to serve on the floor and bartend solo * Experience with guest retention and problem solving We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to providing exceptional service while leading a dynamic team. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Additional pay: * Tips Benefits: * Discounted or free food Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Experience: * Serving: 5 years (required) * Supervising: 2 years (required) Licence/Certification: * Serving It Right (required) Work Location: In person- LocationNanaimo, BC
