The firm values a collaborative, client-centered approach, focusing on quality and precision, ensuring each project meets the highest standards. *Role Overview* As an Intermediate Architectural Technologist, you will support commercial project teams by producing precise Revit drawings, coordinating projects, and contributing to code-compliant documentation. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise further, work collaboratively with seasoned designers, and support projects through each stage, from design concepts to construction documents. It?s an ideal position for a detail-oriented technologist ready to advance within a dynamic, high-quality firm. *Key Responsibilities* * *Design Support:* Collaborate closely with the design team to assist in preparing conceptual drawings, schematic designs, and technical documentation for commercial projects. * *Technical Drafting in Revit:* Develop and refine Revit-based drawings and technical documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. * *OBC Compliance:* Assist in conducting Ontario Building Code (OBC) reviews, supporting senior team members in ensuring all drawings and documents meet regulatory standards. * *Project Coordination:* Communicate with clients, consultants, and builders, coordinating technical details and updates to maintain alignment on project requirements. * *Document Review & Quality Assurance:* Support the review and editing of construction documents, helping ensure design integrity, accuracy, and compliance through all project stages. *Qualifications* * *Experience:* 5+ years as an Architectural Technologist, with relevant commercial project experience preferred. * *Education:* Diploma in Architectural Technology or Construction Engineering Technology. * *Technical Skills:* Proficiency in Revit is essential; experience with AutoCAD is beneficial. * *Building Science Knowledge:* Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and OBC standards. * *Communication & Organization:* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks effectively within project timelines. *Core Competencies* * *Collaboration & Communication:* Demonstrates strong teamwork and clear communication skills essential for supporting projects. * *Adaptability & Initiative:* Comfortable working under project timelines, taking initiative to resolve issues as they arise, and applying learned insights to future tasks. * *Detail Orientation & Time Management:* Highly organized, capable of prioritizing tasks, and maintaining quality across multiple project components. * *Growth Mindset:* Eager to learn from team members and adapt to evolving industry practices, continually seeking ways to improve skills and project outcomes. *Work Environment & Schedule* * *Hours:* Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM * *Location:* On-site in an open-plan office setting, promoting collaboration and continuous learning. *Career Growth* * This role offers growth opportunities within ACK Architects, providing a pathway to increased project responsibility and role scope. *Compensation & Benefits* * *Salary:* 60k+, commensurate with experience. * *Benefits:* Comprehensive health benefits and performance-based bonus to start after one year.
