Zone: Labrador Grenfell Zone Location: Labrador Health Centre Aircraft Dispatcher I Labrador Grenfell Zone - LHC OTHR Transportation Temporary Call In Hours Variable shifts; Salary CG-28 the NAPE-HS salary scales $26.39 to $29.22 per hour, plus the applicable Labrador Allowance.Competition Number VAC0001506 Posted Date 2024-10-18 Closing Date Open Until Filled Demands, duties, qualifications The primary purpose is performing all duties for theefficient movement ofstaff and patients to the Labrador coastal clinics, work closely with the airline provider in arranging flight requirements, ship and pickup freight and mail as required, operatethe LHCmail room. This position reports directly to the Regional Director of Transportation, Logistics and Coordinator for Protection Services Qualifications: Successful completion of High School;Class IV driver's license;Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word;Certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act;Experience in aircraft dispatching preferred;Knowledge of the Provincial Air Ambulance System;Knowledge of the Labrador-Grenfell Regional Integrated Health Authority geographic area of responsibility;Satisfactory Code of Conduct is required; Duties: (Included but not limited to)Arrange flightsTransport freight & staff to & from Airport;Maintains records related to various phases of patient movement;Liaises with ground transportation officials, nursing/medical personnel, and hospital officials to ensure timely and safe transportation of patients and staff;Coordinates appropriate ambulance or ground transportation for each emergency response;Ability to work independently;Must be professional in appearance and conduct;Other related duties.- LocationHappy Valley-Goose Bay, NL
