Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. In/on water. Hot. Work setting: Private club. Outdoor centre. Camp. Associations and non profit organizations. Staff accommodation available. Tasks: Leading/instructing groups. Ensure safety of rescuers and victims at accident scenes. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness or sports activities and techniques. Assist with coordination of recreational, sport and fitness events . Prepare reports. Understand principles of group dynamics. Maintain and repair sports equipment. Assist clients/guests with special needs. Plan and carry out recreational, fitness and sports activities. Assemble supplies, sports and game equipment. Monitor recreational, sports or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required. Supervision: 16-20 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : CPR Certificate. Water Safety Instructor (WSI). Counsellor aptitude training (DAFA). Student status: Full time enrollment.
