We also machine a wide range of products using femtosecond lasers.<br><br></p><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>We are looking for a Production Planner<br><br></strong></span><b>What we offer</b> <br>A permanent, full-time position (40 hours), Monday to Friday<br>Salary according to experience<br>Paid vacations and sick days from the first year onwards<br>Group insurance (medical, dental, life, long-term disability) and a pension plan with employer contributions (RRSP+DPSP) after 3 months <br>A seniority recognition program<br>Free on-site parking<br><br><b>Job objective</b><br>The person in this position will be responsible, among other things, for the on-time delivery of catalog products and CDIs, following through from customer commitment to actual shipment; for providing planning support for the introduction of new module, subassembly and component products.<br><br><b>Essential job functions include, </b>but are not limited to <b>:</b></p><ul><li>Manage the manufacturing planning process for finished products and sub-assemblies.</li><li>Manage the production plan for assigned product lines based on available capacity.</li><li>Issue daily production orders to the production shop based on component and capacity availability.</li><li>Analyze and maintain minimum coverage levels for components, sub-assemblies and finished products.</li><li>Calculate and maintain the minimum quantity of finished products according to demand.</li><li>Monitor and maintain production lead times for sub-assemblies and finished products.</li><li>Monitor and report actual results against production plan.</li><li>Monitor critical shortages, high inventory, low inventory and zero inventory.</li><li>Work with purchasing to ensure critical components and raw materials are delivered on time, then proactively review component/raw material supply and determine any necessary push/pull actions.</li><li>Participate in inventory control activities to ensure accuracy.</li><li>Monitor and respond to production-related lead-time requests in the Product Availability inbox.</li><li>Participate in shipping and receiving requests to ensure on-time delivery where appropriate.</li><li>Make decisions regarding release, confirmation, cancellation or postponement of production based on inventory, demand, capacity and material availability.</li></ul><p><em>In addition to the essential duties and tasks listed above, the person recruited will also be required to:</em><br>- Meet company standards for quantity and quality of work performed, executing all work-related tasks in a manner consistent with all company policies and procedures.<br>- Comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines regarding workplace standards of behavior in the performance of tasks and assignments.<br><br>Please note that only successful candidates will be contacted. <br><br></p> <br> <p><strong>Qualifications<br></strong><em>Experience </em><strong>: </strong>Minimum 1-3 years experience in a similar position: in planning and/or schedule development preferably in the field of semiconductors, telecommunications, data communication components, sub-assemblies and modules, with a preference for NPI planning experience. <br><em>Education: </em>Post-secon
