*Job details * Thamesford Accounting and Financial Services Professional Corporation is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team and assist us in fulfilling the needs of our clients. Responsibilities will include the preparation of financial statements, government filings, and conducting tax planning. Find us online or visit our location in Thamesford, ON. *Role* _You?ll need equal aptitude and enthusiasm in executing the following:_ ? Preparation of compilation engagements ? Reconcile and update general ledger/financial records ? Preparation of personal & corporate tax returns ? Preparation of other filings (GST/HST, T3s, T4s, T5s, payroll source deductions, etc.) ? Correspondence with clients, government agencies and other professionals ? Collaboration with accounting team and businesses to meet company objectives ? Supporting external audits by providing proper documentation as needed ? Research, implement, and develop new accounting processes *Benefits* _Salary range $60-75k, commensurate with experience_ ? Diploma/degree in accounting/finance ? 3+ years experience in a public accounting setting ? Extensive knowledge of GAAP, & experience preparing year-end financial statements ? T1 and T2 preparation experience ? Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint ? Expertise with accounting and tax software (Quickbooks, Sage, Taxcycle) ? Multi-tasker who can work on independent projects and team projects concurrently ? Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year Benefits: * On-site parking * Paid time off Schedule: * Monday to Friday Education: * DCS / DEC (preferred) Experience: * Public Accounting: 3 years (preferred) Language: * English (required) Licence/Certification: * Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationThamesford, ON
