<p>SUMMARY OF THE POSITION<br>Person in charge of one or more programs or projects with the aim of providing professional assistance for the development of services, in particular by advising, monitoring or supporting various actors in one or more programs or projects.</p><p>They carry out the research required to identify and assess resources and needs. They design and propose development plans and programs to ensure adequate planning of services. They advise on the implementation or improvement of programs and/or services. They may participate in various teaching and training activities.</p><p>SPECIFIC FONCTIONS* Identifies the main occupational health and safety issues and establishes intervention priorities;* Participates in the collection and compilation of data based on best scientific practices in occupational health and safety;* Is responsible for the planning, development and management of all occupational hygiene activities, including those related to the hygiene laboratory:<br>o Develop sampling strategies;<br>o Ensure the proper functioning and quality of sampling strategies;<br>o Be responsible for contaminant sampling at various companies in the region;<br>o Contribute to data analysis and interpretation;<br>o Prepare environmental reports;<br>o Plan and organize all knowledge transfer activities related to occupational hygiene interventions;<br>o Collaborate in the implementation of interventions aimed at reducing contaminants at source in local businesses.* Provides progress reports, proposals, required documentation and presentations to the project team concerning occupational hygiene activities;* Represents the CBHSSJB on internal committees and in external collaborative forums;* Performs any other tasks required by the supervisor.</p><p>REQUIREMENTS<br>Education* Bachelor's degree in an appropriate academic discipline such as health sciences or other relevant related fields;* College diploma in environment, occupational health and safety is an asset is an asset.</p><p>Experience* Three (3) years' experience in the field of occupational hygiene in the Réseau de santé publique en santé au travail (RSPSAT);* Experience working in an Indigenous context is a strong asset.</p><p>Knowledge and Abilities:</p><ul><li>Good knowledge of the MSSS network, administrative regulations and current health trends;</li><li>Knowledge of the Regulation and Act respecting occupational health and safety, Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases, and federal labour standards;</li><li>Good knowledge of the occupational health public health network;</li><li>Good knowledge of services, multidisciplinary teams and community health interventions, as well as promotion and prevention approaches;</li><li>In-depth knowledge of planning, adapting, developing and implementing new programs, and maintaining existing ones;</li><li>Excellent planning, critical thinking, synthesis and decision-making skills;</li><li>Ability to integrate Eenou / Eeyou culture, values, traditions and teachings into programming;</li><li>Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative analysis methods;</li><li>Ability to identify psychosocial risks in the workplace;</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team;</li><li>Excellent leadership skills;</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills;</li><li>Excellent training and extension skills; </li><li>Must be autonomous and flexible;</li><li>Good working knowledge of the main software used in occupational health (SAS, SPSS, Excel, SISAT, etc.).</li></ul><p>LANGUAGE* Fluent in English and French;* Fluency in Cree is an asset.</p><p>OTHER* Willing to travel to various communities on a regular basis.</p>- LocationChibougamau, QC
