As part of this vision, we are seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our team. *Position Summary* Gateway Academy is looking for an experienced *Software Developer* with expertise in front-end and back-end development to help us design, develop, and maintain our online platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of web development technologies, SEO best practices, and CMS systems. The successful candidate will contribute to our ongoing projects, ensuring high-quality code, optimal performance, and seamless user experiences. You will collaborate with our marketing and academic teams to create functional, attractive, and user-friendly digital tools that enhance Gateway Academy's mission. *Responsibilities* * Develop, test, and maintain responsive websites and web applications using *HTML*, *CSS*, and *JavaScript*. * Ensure compliance with *SEO best practices in code* to optimize visibility and performance on search engines. * Leverage expertise in *Microsoft development tools* to create and integrate efficient and scalable solutions. * Manage and implement tracking systems using *Google Tag Manager* and ensure data accuracy in *Google Search Console*. * Contribute to the development and maintenance of *Content Management System (CMS)*, ensuring user-friendly interfaces and robust back-end systems. * Provide IT Support to ensure smooth operation and functionality across all platforms and tools. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver digital solutions. * Debug and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth functionality across all platforms. * Maintain clean, well-documented, and reusable code. * Stay up-to-date with emerging web development trends and technologies. *Qualifications and Skills* * *Education*: Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. * *Experience*: * 2 years of professional experience in software or web development. * Proven track record of working on SEO-optimized web projects. * Hands-on experience with CMS platforms. * Previous tutoring experience would be an asset but is not mandatory. * *Technical Skills*: * Strong proficiency in *HTML*, *CSS*, *JavaScript, and PHP*. * Knowledge of *Microsoft development tools and web plugins*. * Proficiency in *Google Tag Manager* and *Google Search Console*. * Familiarity with database systems and RESTful APIs. * *Soft Skills*: * Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently when needed. * Capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
