Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Full-time (1.0 FTE) Education Assistant at Pat Hardy Elementary School, Whitecourt, Alberta.<p>Successful candidate responsibilities: Provide support to students in an inclusive setting <p> Follow the direction of the classroom TeacherPreference will be given to candidates who: have experience working with children with complex needs<p> have experience and desire to work with students with diverse academic, social-emotional and behavioural needs in the classroom. <p> have experience/desire to work with primary school students in a school setting<p> have an understanding of the teaching/learning process <p> are committed to learn and improve skills to meet student needs<p> are passionate and committed to helping children achieve their full potential<p> are able to proactively respond to groups of students as required in a classroom setting<p> are flexible and able to adapt to changes in their work environment<p> contribute to a positive team environment <p> have a Teacher Assistant Diploma or Early Childhood Development Certificate <p> Have an understanding of child development and learning<p> Have strong interpersonal skills and patienceStart Date: ASAPHours: 6 hours per dayApplication Process: Email a cover letter and resume, including references, by November 26, 2024, to:Ms. Anne Martens, Principal<p>Pat Hardy Elementary School<p>Phone: 780-778-6266<p>anne.martens@ngps.ca<p>If shortlisted, applicants must bring to the interview a Release of Results of Vulnerable Sector Check that is current within three (3) months. <p>We appreciate all applications, but we will only contact those who are shortlisted.- LocationWhitecourt, AB
