*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, in Retirement living. Demonstrating a strong understanding of kitchen operations, food handling, and meal preparation. This role is essential in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our standards for taste and presentation while ensuring food safety practices are followed. *Duties* * Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus. * Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality. * Assist with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. * Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. * Follow all food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff. * Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service. * Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen protocols. *Requirements* * Proven experience as a Cook in a Retirement or similar food service environment. * Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and safety standards. * Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team. * Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. * A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers.
