Immediate Accountant* Lorama Group Inc. is looking for an intermediate accountant to join its finance team and is ready to grow with the company. The role will provide support in all areas of the full-accounting cycle assisting the Controller, Accounting Manager, and Senior Accountant, including AR/AP, banking and treasury, HST reporting, month end close, quarterly and year end reporting, and preparation of external audit support. This is an opportunity to see and learn about all aspects of a manufacturing operation. *Responsibilities* · AR & AP support with vendor payables · Bank reconciliations, customer receipts and preparation of weekly payables · Preparation of general ledger journal entries and accruals · Maintenance of schedules: fixed & intangible assets and amortization, prepaid assets · Goods receipts and inventory adjustments as needed per quarterly inventory counts · Preparation of monthly HST reports · Month end close procedures · Quarterly P&L analysis · Preparation of year end working papers for external auditors and any other ongoing audits · Assist with any ad hoc analysis, reports, special projects · Compliance with the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System ? including but not limited to the following: - Taking into consideration environmental aspects and impacts during the design of products and services. - Using appropriate control forms, work instructions and adhering to applicable SOPs. - Maintaining good record-keeping practices while adhering to quality and safety programs. · Ensure they are aware of all actual and potential health and safety hazards in their area of responsibility and that employees are advised of the existence of any potential or actual danger to their health or safety of which the supervisor is aware · Assisting with other accounting projects and other duties as assigned *Requirements:* · 3-5 years of experience · Bachelor?s degree or College Diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field · CPA certified or pursuing their CPA designation · Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts · Proficiency in Microsoft excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) · Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills · Effective communication skills, both written and verbal · Excellent organizing abilities · Great attention to detail Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year Benefits: * Casual dress * Company events * Company pension * Dental care * Employee assistance program * Extended health care * Flexible schedule * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * RRSP match * Tuition reimbursement * Vision care * Wellness program * Work from home Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Monday to Friday Education: * S- LocationMississauga, ON
