Position #: 202174 Expected Start Date: December 9, 2024 Union: HSAS Facility: Sturdy Stone Building - Multi-Site EDAC City/Town: Saskatoon Department: Community Addiction Services Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: July 07, 2025 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: Yes Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Addictions Counsellor - Diploma $29.584 to $36.176 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: The main focus of this position is to provide specialized counselling, education, and support services to individuals, families and the community. The Addiction Counsellor helps clients understand and address substance abuse and related problems, including mental health issues, problem gambling, family dynamics, and lifestyle changes. The counsellor is expected to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals within the organization, and to establish and maintain partnerships with related community organizations. This is a non-supervisory position reporting to the assigned clinical supervisor and program.
