Position #: 159477 Expected Start Date: November 28, 2024 Union: HSAS Facility: Biggar & District Health Centre City/Town: Biggar Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time regular FTE: 0.75 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 168.00 hours per 6 week rotationScheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician Ambulance $32.302 to $39.497 Travel Required: No Job Description: The EMT will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT will cover standby assignment, as operations require. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)- Valid Class 4 driver's license- Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)Competencies- Basic - Communication skills- Basic - Interpersonal skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Ability to work and communicate in a cross cultural settingOther Information- Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call- Clean Driver's Abstract- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement- Employer will endeavour to ensure on-call does not exceed 300 hours in 3 weeks- Biggar is located approximately 93 km west of Saskatoon- For more information on the town of Biggar please visit https://townofbiggar.com/- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level About US The Saskatchewan Health A...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationBiggar, SK
