Job Summary: Join our team at a newer pharmacy focused on Mental Health and Addiction in Wetaskiwin. We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to provide essential support in medication administration, patient care, and medical terminology. The ideal candidate will work closely with vulnerable patients, the homeless community, and individuals dealing with mental health and addiction. Responsibilities: - Assist in medication preparation and dispensing under the supervision of a pharmacist. - Maintain inventory levels and perform regular stock checks. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. - Provide support to patients with daily witness practices such as methadone and kadian. - Build trust and relationships with patients, including those from the Maskwacis reserve and Hope mission shelter. - Work closely with connected clinic staff, nurses, and physicians for seamless patient care. - Uphold pharmacy policies and protocols to ensure efficient workflow. -Maintain inventory of supplies -Manage the til and cashout procedures -Keeping track of meds to be expired -Sigvaris compression sock fitting (training can be provided ) -Manage/execute Deliveries possible (will be paid separately for this task) Requirements: - Certification as a Pharmacy Technician, with at least 1 year experience - Proficiency in using pharmacy software, preferably Kroll. - Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work effectively in a slower-paced environment focused on mental health and addiction. *Pharmacy Software:* Kroll paperless Hours: Monday to Friday 10:30-6:30pm If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients dealing with mental health and addiction challenges, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding Pharmacy Technician position.
