For more information about our school district, visit https://www.vsb.bc.ca/<p>Position Details <p><p><p> Monitor and track Indigenous student success progress in relation to the goals of the Aboriginal Education Enhancement Agreement <p> Collaborate with School-Based teams and other enrolling, non-enrolling and support staff to analyze student needs and to develop individual student learning plans<p> Work in consultation with enrolling classroom teachers on assessment, evaluation and programming strategies<p> Provide targeted instructional support to Indigenous students by working within the classroom, and in small group settings<p> Promote and model the integration of Indigenous cultural and traditional knowledge into classroom curriculum and school setting<p> Share knowledge of Indigenous curriculum resources and professional development opportunities with colleagues <p><p>Qualifications <p><p> Completion of a Bachelor of Education <p> Experience in working with Indigenous students in a school and community setting is required <p> Extensive knowledge and successful implementation of Indigenous history and culture is required <p> Experience in elementary or secondary training is required <p> Membership in or eligible to become a member of the Teacher Regulation Board (TRB)<p><p><p> Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS) <p><p>Your application MUST include: <p><p> Cover letter <p> Resume (for teachers only, include Teaching and non-teaching work experience)<p> 3 Professional References-names, email addresses and phone numbers of your last direct supervisors/managers.
