Job details
Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Commercial. Residential. Installation. Tasks: Professionalism in customer service. Install underground wiring and cables. Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations. Splice, join and connect wires. Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits. Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations. Troubleshoot and isolate faults. Install surface mount and/or overhead cables. Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs. Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training. Level one apprenticeship training. Level two apprenticeship training. Level three apprenticeship training. Level four apprenticeship training. Level five apprenticeship training. Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional electrical devices. Area of specialization: Lighting system. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding.
