Job details
Education: Bachelor's degree. Work setting: Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Nursing home/home for the aged. Retirement home. Long term care center. Tasks: Assist health care practitioners during examinations or treatments . Engage in community program development. Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition. Address and document symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families. Conduct disease screening. Deliver health education programs. Deliver immunization programs. Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician. Engage in research activities related to nursing. Manage home care cases. Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment. Provide consultative services regarding issues relevant to nursing profession and nursing practice. Provide nursing care. Provide supportive counselling and life skills programming. Supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff. Perform administrative tasks. Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. CPR Certificate. Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work. Licensure as a Registered Nurse by provincial or territorial authorities. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Bondable. Immunization records. Tuberculosis test. Vulnerable sector check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Willing to travel.
