Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the veterinary staff in providing quality care to our animal patients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a compassionate environment and contribute to the well-being of animals. Responsibilities: - Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures - Handle and restrain animals during treatment - Administer medications as directed by the veterinary team - Perform laboratory procedures such as blood draws and urinalysis - Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, treatment areas, kennel area, etc - Provide compassionate care and support to both animals and their owners Skills: - Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with pet owners - Ability to handle animals with care and compassion - Knowledge of basic veterinary medical terminology This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with animals and contribute to their well-being. Compensation will be based on experience. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $17.20-$23.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 ? 40 per week Experience: * Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred) * Customer service: 1 year (preferred) * Animal care/handling: 1 year (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationToronto, ON
