Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Train students, other technologists or nurses
  • Check, calibrate and perform routine maintenance to equipment
  • Operate electromyography and diagnostic equipment
  • Prepare recordings and reports of findings for physicians
  • Review patient's case history and assess nature of problem to determine procedures and tests required
  • Monitor cardiac activity and record results
  • Operate electrocardiographs, cardiac ultrasound and other electronic equipment
  • Perform cardiovascular procedures and tests
  • Prepare reports for interpretation by cardiologists

Credentials

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses 

  • Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists Registration
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
