<p>Grande Prairie Public School Division Invites external applications for:<p>Literacy & Numeracy Educational Assistants <p>COMPETITION NUMBER: S2324-128 Full-time Temporary (32.5 hours per week) Educational Assistants<p>Effective for the 2024-2025 school year<p>Applications will be accepted until suitable candidates are found.The Educational Assistant works under the supervision of a certified teacher who retains the responsibility for planning, instruction, supervision and evaluation of the students. Qualifications and Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent<p> Educational Assistant Diploma with CPR/First Aid preferred<p> Experience in literacy and numeracy support preferred<p> Strong oral and written communication skills<p> Basic knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)<p> Ability to follow programming focused on numeracy and literacy and adapt as needed <p>Responsibilities: <p> Data/record keeping<p> Deliver literacy and numeracy programming<p> Work collaboratively with school based learning support teacher, classroom teachers, lead intervention teacher, and school leaders<p> Prepare, gather and maintain student activities/resources <p>Applications should include: Completed Apply to Education profile<p> Cover letter<p> Detailed resume<p> Three references with current contact information <p>We appreciate and thank you for your application; however, we contact only those candidates who are selected for an interview.
