NEXTreme Inc. is urgently hiring an experienced Journeyman/Journeywoman/Red Seal Iron Worker with construction/deconstruction and CWB welding experience to work in *Yellowknife and Inuvik in the Northwest Territories.* The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude with a strong work ethic, have at least 5 years? experience constructing or deconstructing steel structures, be willing to work shift work and get along well with others. Responsible for laying out and fabricating structural steel and sheet metal in order to build metal structures. Welds and cuts steel, interprets blueprints, welds pile caps. *Primary responsibilities* * buildings and other structures. * *Install insulated panels* * *Repair older infrastructure.* * Make, weld, and cut structural metal in fabricating shops. * *Erect steel frames.* * *Connect steel columns, beams, and girders.* * Drill holes into steel for bolts * Unload and stack steel * Hoist steel into place in the framework. * *Position steel with connecting bars and spud wrenches.* * Work with drift pins to align the holes in the steel with the framework holes. * *Use plumb bobs, levels, and laser equipment to check alignment.* * Bolt or weld piece into place. * *Set reinforcing bars into forms to hold concrete.* * Fasten bars together with wire. * Cut bars with metal shears and torches. * Install stairs, handrails, or curtain walls. * Make sure all pieces are fitted properly and complete repairs as necessary. *Minimum Requirements* * Certified Red Seal/Journeyman/Journeywoman Ironworker * CWB Certifications (at least 3) * Aerial Work Platform * Confined space ticket * Fall arrest ticket * Chain & Rigging Staff accommodation is available with an opportunity for health benefits.
