Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Fruit and vegetable combination farming. Outdoors. At heights. Wet/damp. Odours. Dusty. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Tasks: Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume to fetch high price in market.. Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Tie and secure plants. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Weeding. Fertilize and spray crops. Harvest crops. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market. Soil fertility programs. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Overtime required. Walking. Experience: Will train.- LocationBowmanville, ON
