This is how we at Pratt & Whitney approach our work, and this is why we are inspired to go beyond.</p><p></p><p><b>What your day to day will look like?</b></p><ul><li>Performs work according to specific assembly and test work instructions giving necessary attention to the use and care of equipment, tools and safe working practices</li><li>Ensures assembled parts and details meet fits, clearances, backlash and other specified requirements, that all checks are carried out and that records are kept of specific functional dimensions at assembly, test and teardown</li><li>Ensures that quality and integrity of product is maintained at all times</li><li>Executes engine test according to Test instructions</li><li>Documents build, test or strip activities to ensure smooth workflow and coordination between shifts</li><li>Coordinates with Engineering staff and support groups for successful completion of the build and execution of the test</li><li>Checks that tools and parts are clean, FOD free, not damaged prior to use or after use</li><li>Assists in troubleshooting during assembly, test or disassembly of engines</li><li>Contributes to FOD prevention, continuous improvement and EHS cultures</li><li>Shift work required (4 weeks days, 2 weeks nights on rotation), alternate shifts may be required at times</li></ul><p></p><p><b>The tools you need to be successful </b></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of technical college in aircraft trades</li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience in the aircraft field preferred</li><li>Awareness of EH&S and continuous improvement (an asset)</li><li>Must be detail and result oriented</li><li>Must possess a good capacity for teamwork</li><li>Must possess a high degree of mechanical aptitude and be able to problem solve effectively</li><li>Must display drive and initiative</li><li>Candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>What we offer</b></p><ul><li><span>Long-term deferred compensation programs</span></li><li><span>Advancement programs to enhance education skills</span></li><li><span>Flexible work schedules</span></li><li><span>Leadership and training programs</span></li><li><span>Comprehensive benefits, savings and pension plans</span></li><li><span>Financial support for parental leave</span></li><li><span>Reward programs for outstanding work</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Diversity, Equity & Inclusion</span></b></p><p>The masculine pronoun is used without discrimination and solely for the purpose of making the text easier to read.
