Position #: 201101 Expected Start Date: January 08, 2025 Union: HSAS Facility: Southwest Integrated Health Facility City/Town: Maple Creek Department: Ambulance - Land Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: July 08, 2026 FTE: 0.67 Shift Information: Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, Standby Hours of Work: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 4 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Emergency Medical Technician $29.909 to $36.572 Travel Required: No Job Description: Reporting to the Southwest EMS Operations Manager the Emergency Medical Technician - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible for responding to emergent and non-emergent EMS calls for service; and for providing initial assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport of ill or injured persons at the Basic Life Support level. The PCP will provide care with strict adherence to: Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) core values, policies, and work standards; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Paramedic Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and SCoP Regulatory and Administrative Bylaws; and The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations. Human Resources Exemption: No Education- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)Licenses- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)- Valid Class 4 driver's license- Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)- Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)Competencies- Advanced - Interpersonal skills- Advanced - Listening skills- Intermediate - Conflict resolution skillsKnowledge and Abilities- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to function effectively in high stress and in emergency situations- Familiar with the SK Ministry of Health Ambulanc...For more information on this job, please visit the employer's website.- LocationMaple Creek, SK
