The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring that the finance processes are followed and that financial inputs are accurate.
*Fonctions Principales/*_*Essential functions*_
* Maintain the general ledger.
* Prepare monthly trial balances and financial statements.
* maintaining relationships with company?s bankers and external auditors.
* Daily Cashflow reports.
* Processing of Wires, direct deposits, bill payments and transfers through bank platform.
* Preparation of Tax remittances due and filing of Tax remittances.
* Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
* Responsible for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable follow up with customers and suppliers.
* Collaborate with different levels of the organization to develop processes to ensure that transactions are recorded accurately.
* Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multi-company organization.
* Record accruals and prepaid expenses and reconcile accounts accordingly.
* Responsible for recording credit card purchases.
* Prompt resolution of billing and payment issues with customers and vendors.
* Prepare Month End Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations.
* Process customer credit application and recommending payment terms.
* Other duties and projects as assigned

* Excellent organizational planning, problem solving, project management and verbal and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated high level of initiative, attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent organizational and interpersonal qualities to collaborate with production, inventory, and engineering departments to encourage a culture of continuous improvements.
* Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
* Self-motivated, proactive work ethic, willingness to learn and change in a dynamic environment.
* Experienced change agent with strong influencing skills.
* Experience with ERP, MS Dynamics GP
_*Education and Experience*_
* Diploma in Accounting with minimum 5 years of experience.
* Proficient with ERP, MS Dynamics GP is a must.
* Experience with Ontario Payroll Rules and Government programs
* Proficient in MS Office Suite.
* Bilingualism is an asset.
