*Speech-Language Pathologist, Generalist*
*Full-time, Monday to Friday*
*In-person (on site)*
*Key responsibilities*
* Assessment and treatment of pediatric clients across the age spectrum in a private practice setting. Our pediatric clients present with various needs, including, but not limited to, delayed language, speech-sound impairments, early literacy challenges, voice disorders, social communication challenges, and stuttering.
* Assessment and treatment adult clients across the age spectrum in a private practice setting. Our adult clients present with various needs, including, but not limited to, language, working memory, fluency, cognition/executive functioning. The vast majority of our adult clients have sustained some degree of injury caused by a motor vehicle collision.
* Independent management of clinical caseload, which includes maintaining a minimum weekly workload.
* Independent management of clerical needs, such as material preparation, room preparation, room clean up, and sanitization of materials used.
* Engagement in timely, respectful, and professional communications within the organization and with external stakeholders.
* Adherence to deadlines for med-legal reports.
* Supervision of Communicative Disorders Assistants.
* Participation in company marketing activities.
*Requirements*
* Master?s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences from an accredited program.
* Registration in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
* Valid driver?s license and reliable vehicle. A proportion of the caseload requires travel to conduct assessments and treat adult clients in their homes within London and St. Thomas
* Certification in the Hanen® It Takes Two to Talk program or agreement to complete such training at the time the job offer is accepted.
* Level 1 PROMPT ® training or agreement to complete such training at the time the job offer is accepted.

*Key competencies*
* Flexibility and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
* Willingness and ability to take clinical and administrative direction.
* Exceptional interpersonal and interprofessional verbal and written communication skills.
* Exceptional clinical writing skills, necessary for the production of medical-legal reports.
* Competence in basic computer operations, such as in the use of an electronic medical records system (EMR), tablets, word processing and spreadsheets.
* Ability to operate in a mostly paperless environment, including clinical note-taking, clinical data entry and storage, and assessment/therapy materials.
*Preferred qualifications*
· Cognitive Communications Disorders 1 training and/or experience working with adults who have sustained injuries in motor vehicle collisions.
· Completed CASLPO IPP.
*Remuneration*
* Total annual remuneration is dependent on candidate qualifications
* Extended health, dental, life and disability insurance are available once a mandatory 3 month probation period is complete
* Retention (signing) bonus can be negotiated in exchange for a term of service
* Annual achievement bonuses
