The OpportunityA critical member of the Human Resources team, as the Specialist you will support a high-performance culture and create an environment where people can bring their best to work every day, enabling Pathways to achieve its operational plans and strategic goals. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will have employee-facing, administrative, operational, and analytical responsibilities. Your focus will be providing an exceptional employee experience, delivering operational HR activities with excellence, managing and utilizing employee data to inform decision-making, and continuously improving key HR systems. The successful candidate will bring experience across a range of human resources activities, enjoy solving problems, handle confidential information with maturity and sensitivity, and provide an innovative lens to improving systems and technology. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging HR professional to engage and grow in the full spectrum of human resources functions and develop their skill set in a positive, dynamic environment. What You?ll Do- Provide exceptional customer service to our employees and managers as the first point of support and guidance for practices, policies, annual processes, and other people-related inquiries. You will create and manage a system for the efficient project management of department activities, tracking requests, follow-ups, and deadlines.- Deliver key employee lifecycle processes - such as recruiting, onboarding, and performance management ? working with hiring managers to support implementation and collaborate with colleagues in other departments to develop supporting communications, materials, and budgets.- As the expert on Pathways? people data and systems, including our HRIS, you will design intuitive data management structures and information flows, and develop and implement insightful reports that support timely and well-informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.- Drive successful recruitment efforts by optimizing search strategies, crafting compelling job postings, preparing offers, ensuring a positive candidate experience, and leading a seamless and impactful onboarding process.- Develop and execute initiatives that support a culture of engagement, inclusion, and learning by creating inclusive and accessible practices, fostering authentic communication, and gathering employee input.- Ensure Pathways remains compliant with people policies, legislation, and reporting requirements across all provinces where we operate. Lead and advocate for internal initiatives that uphold and strengthen our compliance efforts.- Continuously review and improve our human resources systems, infrastructure, workflows, and practices to ensure they reflect industry-leading practices and are aligned with Pathways? culture and brand.
