*Job Summary* The Mental Health Counsellor plays a vital role in supporting the mental and emotional well-being of patients. This position involves working closely with people of all ages to provide compassionate care, assist in therapeutic activities, and ensure a safe environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mental health principles, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient care. We are looking for the right person to join or multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers. *Duties* * Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients. * Maintain accurate records. * Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients at all times. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. * Utilize medical terminology effectively when documenting patient interactions and observations. * Engage with patients in a supportive manner, fostering trust and rapport. *Requirements* * Must be licensed to work in New Brunswick and hold an MSW, LCT or equivalent. * Knowledge of mental health practices and principles is essential. * Familiarity with case management processes and documentation practices. * Strong research skills to stay informed about best practices in mental health care. * Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members. * Basic understanding of medical terminology is advantageous. * Compassionate demeanor with a genuine interest in patient care.
