Responsible for a variety of tasks in the warehouse. Under direction of the purchasing manager, will assist in regulating inventory using an ERP system, ship/receive/restock/return material, and maintain the shop. _*A successful performer in this role will have the opportunity to grow their skill set with Pro-Western Mechanical and pursue a plumber apprenticeship in the field.*_ *Responsibilities* * ship/receive materials * enter returns * pull/restock inventory * pick-up, delivery and packaging of material * co-ordinate maintenance & service of company vehicles, equipment and tools * fabrication of small mechanical assemblies * participate in safety program / complete inspections as required * Maintain a safe clean shop/warehouse/yard * Manual lifting required: 75lbs *Skills* * Effective communication skills * Ability to prioritize, organize and problem solve * Basic knowledge of computers * Ability to thrive in an active environment and perform under tight deadlines * Positive attitude and the desire to continuously improve * Willing and able to accept direction and work independently * Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75lbs several times through a day *Education/Experience* * Warehouse or construction experience * Forklift (PME) certification is considered an asset * Grade 12 or GED * Valid Driver License * Trailer hitching, hauling and loading/unloading * Plumbing experience is an asset *Wage* Wage will be based on experience Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * RRSP match Schedule: * Monday to Friday Application question(s): * Are you interested in pursuing a career in the plumbing trade?
