Pétro-Nav Inc., a leader in the transportation of petroleum products and a subsidiary of Groupe Desgagnés, is seeking a Navigation Coordinator to strengthen its team.</p><p></p><p>If you have experience in managing marine operations and excel in coordinating, supervising, and monitoring voyages in full compliance with, this is the perfect job for you!</p><p></p><p>You will be at the heart of operations, directly liaising with our ships and in-house team. You?ll be responsible for overseeing voyages, ensuring that contracts are honoured, and fostering strong relationships with our customers.</p><p></p><p><strong>More specifically, the main responsibilities of the Navigation Coordinator are as follows:</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Operations Analysis and Management</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Conduct technical analyses and risk assessments for each trip before issuing service offers, ensuring compliance with all local, national and international regulations.</li><li>Develop comprehensive understanding of charter parties and contracts to ensure their effective implementation in operations.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Real-Time Supervision and Monitoring</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Monitor travel progress daily (including reports, fuel consumption, ETA) to identify risks and optimization opportunities.</li><li>Prepare loading plans to maximize cargo efficiency while minimizing contamination risks.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Coordination and Commercial Relations</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders (both internal and external), to ensure smooth and proactive communication.</li><li>Participate in incident follow-up, collaborate with vessels to ensure their availability, and adjust operations as needed.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Optimization and Continuous Improvement</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Actively engage in the optimizing shipping schedules to maximize cargo and reduce operational delays.</li><li>Conduct performance studies and propose recommendations for the continuous improvement of our processes.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Administrative Management and Compliance</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>Prepare and transmit necessary instructions to ships, including positioning documents and cargo declarations (AMS, ACI, Bill of Lading).</li><li>Ensure compliance with ISO standards and internal procedures, contributing to their development to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of operations.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Working conditions</strong></p><p></p><ul><li>Permanent day shift</li><li>Flexible working hours of 37.5 hours per week</li><li>Teleworking policy (50%)</li><li>Salary according to experience</li><li>Comprehensive group insurance program (including dental insurance)</li><li>Registered Retirement Savings Plan (with employer contribution)</li><li>Employee assistance program and telemedicine</li><li>Ongoing employee training program</li><li>Floating vacations, sick leave and federal holidays</li><li>Annual vacation</li><li>Free coffee!</li></ul> <br> <p><strong>Skills required</strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><ul><li>University degree in navigation or transport logistics, or a combination of relevant university education in the maritime field and significant experience related to the position?s duties</li><li>Three years of experience in managing shipping operations</li><li>Experience as a crew member on a tanker is a plus</li><li>Demonstrate excellent relationship management and communication skills with vessels, terminals and other stakeholders</li><li>General experience in the maritime field, including operations, vessel handling, commercial operations, and charter parties</li><li>Bilingual in French and English, both spoken an
