We are looking for a full-time permanent Human Resources Manager to join our Mississauga team. The successful candidate must be flexible, results driven with well-rounded knowledge of all areas of Human Resources with a minimum of 10 years of HR experience, minimum 2 in a management position.
*What will you be doing? *
The primary function of the Human Manager is to manage, guide & support all aspects & members of the Human Resources department. Additionally, as trusted, valuable, and integral member of NDS? Management Team, you will be relied upon heavily to support, assist, lead and work cooperatively with other members of NDS? Management Team. The HR Manager will be
The HR Manager?s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
_*Leadership:*_
* Advise, guide and support leaders with employee relationships matters including performance management & the correction action process.
* Work with leadership team to identify gaps and opportunities that impact business results.
* Work with leadership team to develop short and long-term HR strategies in alignment with the vision and direction of the business.
* Lead a team of two direct reports who are respectively responsible for field H&S and compliance.
* Develop, review, and recommend changes to company/HR policies & procedures to ensure alignment with best practices, organizational goals, and regulatory requirements.
_*Employee Relations & Engagement:*_
* Support management in employee issues and conduct workplace investigations as required.
* Support and improve employee engagement, assisting in the planning of company events.
* Own and develop the NDS Core Values Award & Service Award Program.
_*Performance Management:*_
* Manage & develop the performance appraisal process, providing guidance to managers on performance management issues and opportunities.
_*Talent Acquisition:*_
* Responsible for full-cycle recruitment, developing job descriptions with management team, posting across various platforms, conducting initial screenings and interviews.
* Conduct employee orientations and maintain/update/develop both hourly & salaried orientation programs, ensuring new hires have a smooth transition into NDS.
_*HRIS:*_
* Responsible for updating and maintaining HRIS (ADP- Workforce Now) with employee information.
* Maintain employee documents in ADP.
* Review hourly employee timecards to ensure all approved before exporting to payroll.
* Act as backup support to payroll.
_*Benefits Management:*_
* Periodically review benefits program offering, making recommendations on improvements as needed.
* Process changes including new enrollments, changes and terminations, in benefit plan sponsor portals.
* Communicate changes and features of benefits offerings to employees.
* Participate in the management of ESA leaves.
_*Health & Safety:*_
* Participate in JHSC meetings and ensure H&S compliance is being maintained across all branches.
* Work with Health, Safety & Compliance Coordinator on incident reports and WSIB, ensuring corrective actions are identified and acted upon.
_*Compensation & Budget Planning:*_
* Provide guidance on compensation planning.
* Ensure compliance with all laws governing salary and wage administration
* Own the HR Department budget.
